INTRODUCTION
Cremagel is used for the treatment of anal fissures (tear in the lining of the anus). It promotes healing and reduces the associated symptoms by increasing the blood flow to the lining of the anus.
Cremagel promotes healing of fissures and provides pain relief. Cremagel is for external use only. It is advised to use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Clean and dry the affected area and gently apply it over the affected area.
The most common side effects are dizziness, local itching, soreness, rectal bleeding, and headache. You may also experience lightheadedness, which could increase your risk of having a fall. There are other, rarer side effects, some of them serious. Ask your doctor and read the leaflet which comes with the medicine to make sure you are keeping safe.

Coping with IrritationIf you feel this medicine is causing mood or behavior changes, speak to your doctor as you may need a change of medicine. There are also some things you can do yourself. Eat well, do relaxation or deep breathing exercises and practice regular exercise that you enjoy, such as walking, swimming or yoga. Try to avoid caffeine, alcohol and sugar as these can all cause mood swings or make them worse. A good night’s sleep can also help. It often helps to talk to a friend or family member even if you find this difficult. If it bothers you, consult with your doctor.
