INTRODUCTION
Latocom Eye Drops has a combination of medicines that is used to treat glaucoma and ocular hypertension. It decreases the fluid (aqueous humor) production in the eye which relieves the pressure in the eye.
Latocom Eye Drops is to be used only in the affected eye in the dose and duration as advised by the doctor. Wash your hands before using this medicine. It is advised to check the label for directions before use. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping the medicine too early may lead to the infection returning or worsening.
The most common side effects include itching, stinging, itching, irritation and eye pain at the application site. If these side effects persist for a longer duration, inform your doctor. In case by accident, this medicine goes into your ears, nose or mouth, immediately rinse it with water.
Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or are allergic to this medicine or taking any other medication. This medicine is safe to use in breastfeeding mothers. It is advised not to drive or operate heavy machinery after use of this medicine as it may make you feel dizzy or sleepy and may affect your ability to drive.

HOW TO COPE WITH SIDE EFFECTS?
The occurrence of side effects varies from person to person. The following are a few ways of dealing with some of the common side effects. However, consult your doctor if these persist.

Coping with Eye painMake sure you are using the correct amount of this medicine. Do not use too much and do not use it too often. If the symptoms are bad, there may be an alternative medicine, so talk to your doctor. Do not use other eye drops to ease the discomfort without talking to your doctor. To relieve discomfort, try placing a cold compress over your closed eyes few times a day. Try not to touch or rub your eyes. Wear sunglasses when you are outside. Drink enough water to stay hydrated. Do not keep looking at your phone, computer or television screen for long hours.

Coping with IrritationIf you feel this medicine is causing mood or behavior changes, speak to your doctor as you may need a change of medicine. There are also some things you can do yourself. Eat well, do relaxation or deep breathing exercises and practice regular exercise that you enjoy, such as walking, swimming or yoga. Try to avoid caffeine, alcohol and sugar as these can all cause mood swings or make them worse. A good night’s sleep can also help. It often helps to talk to a friend or family member even if you find this difficult. If it bothers you, consult with your doctor.
